Wedding stationery hasn’t always been my passion. Before I was a wedding stationer, I was a 10 year old girl helping my dad dig holes and set sign posts in the ground.
I grew up in the printing and signage industry. My first job as a teenager was working under my dad at his sign shop in my hometown. Watching my dad turn his clients’ concepts into tangible designs and signage sparked creativity in me.
When I moved to Kennesaw to attend Kennesaw State University, I continued working in the signage industry until my final semester of college. Upon graduating, I had the impending doom of the corporate world lingering over me. That’s when I decided to continue pursuing the industry that I love dearly, printing and signage.
The Sign House began as a commercial signage business but morphed into wedding signage and stationery studio after designing and producing my own wedding stationery and signage. The wedding industry is where I found my passion and purpose.
Today, that 10 year old girl is a 25 year old mother, wife, and wedding stationer expanding her knowledge of print methods, construction, and taking printing back to its roots with her 122 year old letterpress machine (which she loves dearly). I am inspired by the art of traditional print techniques and am excited to pass my craft down to a new generation of print master in my daughter.
